Associate

John is a Business Intelligence Associate in Quinlan’s Charleston office, where he conducts open-source research and analysis to support clients’ high-stakes business decisions. His work primarily supports private equity firms, hedge funds, and corporations in pre-transactional due diligence and investigative research.

Prior to joining Quinlan, John gained experience across the legal, banking, and professional services sectors. At the Massachusetts Attorney General’s Office, he supported investigations into insurance fraud, False Claims Act violations, and cryptocurrency schemes. During his time at an economic consulting firm, John assessed conflicts of interest in high-stakes litigation, working across practice areas such as securities, intellectual property, and M&A. He collaborated with a team to analyze corporate structures and evaluate potential business and reputational risks. In addition to his legal experience, John gained exposure to regulatory compliance and operational functions in the banking sector, where he contributed to compliance efforts related to fair lending, BSA, and AML regulations. He also supported operational functions related to fraud investigations, wire transfers, and general ledger reconciliation.

John holds a B.A. in Political Science from the University of Nebraska–Lincoln, with minors in Human Rights & Humanitarian Affairs and Business Law.
