Marc advises the firm on legal and compliance matters in addition to investigations, strategic, and operational issues. With a background in professional investigations, journalism, law, and entrepreneurship, Marc brings decades of relevant professional experience to Quinlan.
Marc began his career as a photojournalist before shifting to law, practicing as a corporate and litigation attorney in New York. Marc later spent a decade as partner and associate general counsel at a global investigations firm, where he advises the firm on legal matters and steered clients through complex litigation, public policy, due diligence, and investment-related matters.
Marc also co-founded a background screening technology company, where he served as head of product and general counsel, and later became counsel to its acquirer. Marc continues to advise companies, nonprofits, and research organizations in legal and strategic roles. Marc serves as senior advisor and board member at the Sunlight Research Center, a nonprofit helping to revive investigative journalism.
